Andrea and David Block met at a New York Life Executive Council Meeting in Norfolk, VA in August of 1984 and married the following year. In 1992, they purchased Insurance Specialties, Inc. (ISI) -- a Pennsylvania corporation, and transformed the agency from a brokerage agency that specialized predominantly in life insurance into a specialty health agency.  Insurance Specialties now concentrates on all products that require a health insurance license to sell ... Group Life, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Dental, EAP's, Vision, Long Term Care, all Voluntary and Worksite Benefits.  In addition, we have extensive expertise in individual disability for white, gray, and blue-collar occupations as well as long-term care planning solutions for ages 18-85.

The company has expanded into many states and continues to open new states each year in order to meet the needs of the brokers around the country. We are currently licensed to offer services in 13 states.
